And of course it wasn't a problem until it fucked with an American election. Fake news influences the outcome in Philippines or an African nation or someplace? That's all fine for years, apparently.
I agree that fake news played a role in this year's election, what I worry about is companies like FB being held responsible for deciding what's fake and what's real. Talk to me about that process, cuz it sounds real messy
I agree with Havas as well...I think the bigger problem is when did facebook become our primary source of news?

As absurd as it sounds, there has to be some sort of Fact Police, and fines levied against publications that used blatantly false facts in news reporting. I'm not talking about opinion pieces... but factually false articles and publishers behind them,
I think it became the primary source of political news for uneducated folks ... And then the fake news took advantage of that, and a dumbo was elected president. Thanks for the foreshadowing, Mike Judge
