What are some good companies to work for in Dallas?

First round interview with Slalom went well, but they want me to pay for my own travel for the next round. Is that typical? I agreed but I was kind of 😒.

Questions for peers here: If you went on transition recently (during COVID), how long did it take you to land your next role, and how many opportunities did you go through to get to the first offer?

Male client just told me to tell one of women on my team that her communication style is “too aggressive” so if anyone knows of a good bridge to throw him off of, I’m open to suggestions.

Can anyone from Slalom provide some insight into the type of work they focus on in the Los Angeles market? Looking to apply in June/July so I want to start tailoring my experience. Thank you!

Not sure yet about having my own kids, but I am very invested in doing volunteer work and I'm considering becoming a foster parent (I don't travel). Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?

Anyone worked for a really good mgr/director who is just a good mentor overall but that person left the firm and you’re feeling low and unmotivated? How do you overcome the feeling of losing a mentor?

I applied to a senior consultant role at Deloitte. Spoke to the recruiter/had the phone screen where they confirmed I was applying to a senior role. I get the invite to the actual interview and it’s linked to a consultant role. What’s up with that? Did uncle D just pull the old switcheroo on me??
