Why do I have to login with LinkedIn?

We've found LinkedIn the most straight forward way for our community to verify that they are professionals. This way you know you're talking to others in the same boat as yourself.

Why does it say I'm on the wait list?

The most important part of Fishbowl is the community. So, it's important for us to make sure that community guidelines are upheld and users are part of the most meaningful crowd. That means we're taking our time to roll out the service to ensure all members have the best experience possible.

How do I change my company?

You can change your current company within My Account Details in the menu section. Once there, just click Edit and tap on the  company field. You may be required to verify your current employer with either LinkedIn or a current work email address.

If you were invited to Fishbowl and had the wrong company listed as your current employer you may need to switch it within the settings, restart the app, and try to login again. If you're still having issues email us at contact@fishbowlapp.com and we'll be happy to help you out!

How do I change what's shared about me when I post?

Fishbowl makes it easy to change your sharing settings. Whenever you choose to post, you can simply tap on one of the icons that appear on the bottom of the publish box. Each icon will clearly display what will be displayed when you post.

What do others see when I upvote a post or comment?

When you upvote a comment or a post, others will receive a notification similar to one of the following:

Someone at [Your Company Name] just upvoted your post

A [Your Fishbowl Title] just upvoted your post

What are your community guidelines?

Fishbowl's mission is to enable candid and open conversations between professionals across industries. Please respect the community and be thoughtful before posting:

1) Respect Privacy. Professionals are on Fishbowl to share openly. As you share content on the network please respect the privacy of other users and Companies. Do not post or disclose employer confidential or proprietary information. Failure to do so can result in banning. Also, do not publicly share personal information about private people, like their email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, etc. unless with the consent of the individual for the purpose of professional or social networking.

2) Engage Respectfully. Be sure to be open and respectful when chatting, and expect others to be open with you. Some people may chat about things you don’t agree with, and it’s up to you to react responsibly. Make the most of the conversations you can have within Fishbowl, and let’s make Fishbowl a great community together.

3) Treat others with Empathy. Remember, you’re among friends. Treat them how you would want to be treated. As part of speaking freely, the Fishbowl community discusses and challenges beliefs, practices, and organizations. We will not allow attacks on anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.

Can I invite people?

Certainly! You can now invite friends and colleagues within the app. Or just email contact@fishbowlapp.com with a list of emails you'd like to invite and we'll take care of the rest.

How do I delete my account?

You can easily submit an account deletion request within the application by tapping the Settings icon and selecting Send Feedback. There will be a reference number generated by the email request necessary to complete the account deletion.
