Fam, I recently joined a Pre-IPO company that is going public in early ‘22. Previously I worked at an early stage where things were scrappy, teams smaller, and the company years away from exit. This new company is more stable and I think it’s a safe bet from financial perspective but I’m already bored and miss the scrappy life where I felt I had more ownership, closer to teams, building things ground up. Is it a bad idea to jump? Should I stay here (4mnths)? I’m getting startup recruiter calls 👀

Is it taboo to talk about your clients with your friends? Obviously not their financials or what you’re doing for them, but casually mentioning you’re working at X and the culture is Y (not MBB)

I need some advice:
I recently started a position as a senior writer. I jumped from a copywriter role with this new position. It has not been a smooth onboarding at all. My manager moved off my brand before I could even start working. I was doing a bunch of sitting around for the good part of 2 months! Now since there’s a budget issue they want me to take the spot of the freelancer that was the lead writer with only one real week working under this freelancer. Weird to anyone at all?
