I have a massive amount of anxiety. When a phone rings or any email comes my heart jumps and I get irritable. I can’t concentrate but am somehow making it work. How do you guys cope and beat anxiety?

Is negotiating a raise as a permalancer a thing? I'm going on 2 years. Freelancers don't take part in the company's annual review process and so I've never gotten a raise or bonus. Do I ask to be included in the next reviews? Is a freelancer raise even possible?

Why do people present PowerPoint without going into slide show mode?

I've been seeing it a lot recently. Esp with sidebar or notes stretched open making the slide smaller.

I was in a service group showcase where the presenter was asked multiple times to go into slide show. He had some detailed diagrams that would have been easier to read if the slide was full screen. It really seemed like he thought he already was showing the slide show and wasn't even aware PowerPoint had a slide show mode.
