Hey 🐠, question for you! How can I leverage an exit offer (with promo) from a competitor? More specifically, I’d rather stay at my current company and gain expedited promo here. Thanks

I’m making $5K/week as a freelancer but have accepted a job that pays $132K/yr or $2500/wk after tax. I accepted the job because I’m pregnant and want best coverage for healthcare and maternity leave. I’ll be able to keep both jobs for 2 months but will ultimately need to stop the freelance work. Does this plan make sense?

Thinking about starting interviewing for a senior associate role in TAS/FDD. Any insight or tips to offer for the interview process? Also if you have any opinions or thoughts on how the culture/WLB differs from Big4/PA would be awesome as well.
People are soft now a days and don’t read the fine print of you’re an at-will employer - which means you can be let go for any reason with or without warning. The business owes you nothing and life is not fair. Stop complaining about who’s doing what, ranks, who’s voting for who, who likes you and who doesn’t, benefits at other firm compared to yours, this right and that right and ask yourself the last time you HELP yourself. The sun will come out tomorrow and no one really cares. Help yourself
Let’s not lower our hopes looking at US/EU hike %. India is a different market altogether. Also, in US, even a 10-12% hike is actually pretty good with even AC earning like 130k base. For Indian market, % like this doesn’t mean a lot and also, anyone good in technical skills will jump the ship if the % is low this time around.
Hopefully, I’m not wrong or else, 2022 is going to be last year at ZS. Not putting in 60-65 hours/week for an average hike % despite strong reviews.
How long after an interview with a CD do you typically hear back? It went really great (i think) a lot of “well definitely get back to you”, responded to my thank you note, etc. What happens next? Reference checking?
Just need to let off steam. My MIL said to me today that my husband must be really happy with me "now that I learned to cook". Omg. She told me not to bother applying for jobs back when I was because I'd soon be home with the kids 🙈 I have to bite my tongue SO hard. Just me dealing with this generational nonsense?!
