My SO has a very cushy job and works few hours everyday. Recently I’ve been putting in longer hours and have found myself getting annoyed when we’re both working from home because I see how little he works. I know it’s not right to channel my stress onto him like this, so how do I stop feeling this way?

Started an in-house job after leaving a firm. I love it. Looking back on my old job, I now realize how gaslighted and manipulated I was. People at the new job treat me with such respect, it feels amazing (also sad that my bar is now so low).

As a result, I'm super motivated to do a good job and deliver, but this is a BIG job, one where I can't come close to clearing my plate every week. I'm working 12 hour days to be as responsive as I can, but I know that's a recipe for burnout. Advice?

How is the work life balance at Bain at senior levels? (SM and above)? What are the typical hours? (Asking to see how it compares to BCG and MCK and make an informed switch if at all accordingly)

If there's any other industry you could do analytics in, what would you choose? I'd really like to work in tech, more interesting, better pay, and I've heard if you can get over the wlb it's worth it.

I am currently doing my full-time internship at a startup where I am getting paid 17$/hr. I will most probably be continuing with them in Fall as a part-time and asked for an upgrade to 25$/hr. I asked for that upgrade because I already have around two years of experience outside of Canada as a social media executive in a multinational company. I am currently doing a masters degree at Concordia so I believe 25$/hr would be more appropriate. Am I aiming too high?
