I'm in Cyber, and my position is based out of a HCOL area. 7 years IT experience, 3.5 solely in Cyber. I currently make low/mid six figures. I've been told that I am being underpaid, but when I look up resources it doesn't really seem like I am.

I have been told that i should be asking for 200k, sometimes more. This seems to be based on things like levels.fyi, but that looks more aimmed for programmers/engineers at FAANGs. I do not have a CompSci background.

What resources should I be consulting?

I’ve only worked as a public interest attorney. I love what I do but obviously don’t get paid nearly as much as a big law attorney. I’ve never cared but I’m currently paying for a wedding, trying to buy a house, and have a baby soon after becoming a homeowner. Money would definitely help but I know I have some pros such as my work life balance. Any one else struggle with this? Making 200k+ sounds like so much money to me.

Hi all, I'm going to be transparent about my ENTIRE situation. I was released from FLDOC in 2016. I was offered a position at a local non profit. I've been there almost 6 years and am now a board member and an Executive Director. I'm being paid an hourly based salary.. Less than 40k per year. I run the entire organization alone which consists of 6 properties with over 25 tenants at capacity I also, find the houses to purchase, hire contractors, clean, collect rent, find and interview tenants!

A colleague of mine just informed me that she earns more than me. Not a lot. $1000. We both manage optometry practices for a large chain. I've been with company seven years and a manager for four. She joined the company a year ago with no optical experience. Her store is busier than mine, but I have the optical skills and she's still learning. Originally interviewed for Community Relations Coordinator for set asking salary of $65k. Now owner wants to change title to Branch Manager, increased responsibilities, but primarily still CRC role. Same salary and now will decrease to $50k after one year with an increasing commission rate. The idea behind this is motivation to earn more than set salary. At this point, I need the income and am not planning on staying longer than the year, if that. Is it worth negotiating? Any advice welcome.

I am currently a senior buyer looking for work and applied for a buyer position that’s within my target salary range but I don’t want to lose my senior title.

Had a recruiter call me about a job I was being considered for, but didn’t know the salary range, the bonus figure, or the PTO. Basically none of the information a perspective candidate needs to know to form an opinion of whether or not this might be a good fit for them. This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this kind of nonsense either.
