Did anyone meet people through this bowl?

Currently have a hospice patient on physical therapy caseload for device recommendations to give her a better QOL in her final days. I go in to assess her and find she has a sacral ulcer. Nurse and I (the PT) agree that the patient would benefit from a ROHO cushion for her W/C. Hospice comes back and says they don’t cover cushions! This is beyond messed up. Bigger picture, this $170 cushion is probably cheaper than most items they’ve spent money on covering for her.

Coming up the ranks I noticed white women were shown much more empathy for crying at work v. Women of Color crying at work- why do you think that is? To me there seemed to be an “expectation” of greater strength...

(*come to think of it, including myself, I never saw a WOC cry at work - although I am absolutely sure some have I personally have not witnessed it at any level.)

Given two candidates competent at basics you're looking for, would you rather hire a candidate that...
1. brings up relevant topics beyond what you're "really" hiring for, but can't answer in depth follow up questions
2. sticks to the basics they know

Asking because I feel like it's pretty typical interview advice to do #2, but then that doesn't seem to reconcile with wanting ambitious and eager to learn hires. Thoughts?

This process take a long time- 3+ months.
After your interviews, your recruiter will likely say you’ll hear back in a week- do not count on that. It may take up to a month.
If your recruiter doesn’t answer you, they probably just don’t have any updates. They’re not ghosting you.
They call for both good and bad. Don’t overthink it until you know.
