How long does HSBC typically take to release an offer letter after selection?
I interviewed on 16 December 2025, received positive feedback, and HR requested documents shortly after. However, I have not yet received the offer letter. Is this delay common in HSBC's hiring process?
HR is not responding to mail and calls.

During December most of the senior members will be on leave as well as the recruiters(since majority of them are contractors here).

Hence there might have been a delay in the approvals. This is something HSBC needs to streamline but at the moment that is how the process is.

If that is the case then offer will be released soon

Annual hike discussions are underway. Usually based on the hikes and budget, hiring decisions are made, hence the hiring freeze. By the end of February, hiring process may resume.

Yes

Last year was tough and our department had no hirings. If there is an urgent requirement I believe they will lift the hiring freeze. Hike discussions will start in the last week of Feb, hence can expect hiring to start from March onwards

@Software Engineer - Did your application status went for ”Additional pre employment checks “ stage before ?
