My District decided to initiate a “no zero policy” starting now. I was informed by administration that when a student does not turn in their work, I still have to give the student a fifty percent even though that student didn’t earn it. I teach sixth graders and I am not sure how I feel about this. Any words of advice?

Thoughts on teaching “vosotros” in the class? My Spanish is from South America and I do not use it. I do not teach it in the classroom but I explain what it is so if they see it they understand

What type of EdTech tools are you using in your CTE classroom?

I have a small classroom with 5 tables. I have two of the tables pushed together (side by side) and two tables pushed together to make an L shape. My student's always manage to push them apart or crooked. I am constantly pushing them back together or straightening them throughout the day. The tables being out of place would not be that big of a deal if my classroom was not small. I have tried non slip furniture pads, but they did not work. Any suggestions/hacks? Thank you!

I'm getting ahead of myself but I'd love to gift her a big basket of things (tools, supplies, etc) she'll need, especially the stuff that she might not think she'll need, along with just some fun things to help her settle in!
