I know 2 people who have networked their way into an interview and did absolutely amazing (MBB). Both received offers. Like BCG1 said, they were lateral hires. One of them even went to a 2nd tier state school 😱. Work hard, get to know the right people, bring your "A+" game if you get the chance to get infront of someone. If you hustle, you can overcome the stereotypes
Told by a BCG recruiter this is true
I know two people at Mck with sub 700s. Don't let the haters tell you what to do.
Why would you take a GMAT post MBA? Maybe rephrase the question? If your experience is interesting we will consider you for our lateral hire recruiting process. For campus recruiting, different story.
Sorry,I meant would they not look at me after I finish my MBA if my GMAT score was under 700. Im starting my MBA at Georgetown this fall but considering taking the GMAT again to get it above 700
No.
I think the most important question is, where do you get in with sub 700. If it lands you on a top 5 school, people won't care. But if not, it's a different story
Networking is key
I mean, they shouldn't.
C1, I'm assuming you work for one of them?
