I’ve been consulting since 2018 and have an interview for a managerial role. Your concern what I’m trying to prepare for, so I’m building an exit strategy as I’m preparing for the interview. Do you mind sharing what’s the most soul draining aspect of your work and how long did it take you to notice it?

The macro environment is causing stress and pressure, and when that happens - the worst side of people (and then toxic culture) comes out.
In other words, it might be bad everywhere until markets improve and stabilize. That said, you still can draw boundaries and look for better.. not sure toxic industry job back to consulting which breeds toxicity even in good times is the best bet tho 😅
