I went for MBAmission. I think it’s helpful coming from a place like Deloitte to help differentiate yourself from others with a similar background.
Definitely not. Waste of time and money, just believe in yourself!
I hired Stacey Blackman and I truly think it’s worth the money to understand what specific schools focus on in each essay. Small investment for a big payout in my opinion. If you have friends/colleagues who have recently gotten into the schools you’ve applied to and are willing to review your application, that can probably fill the spot of an admissions consultant.
I didn’t hire any consultants and got into all of my schools. However I did a lot of school research on my own and talked to many current / former students and had one or 2 former students read my essays before I submitted
I would caution against relying solely on other students who have gotten admitted to review your essays. You don’t know why those other students got in. They could have had terrible essays but some other component of their application that stood out. Admissions consultants understand the broader picture.
