It does sound like your company uses those tiny minimal annual raises as a method to keep you guys from asking for what you deserve. I would just approach the conversation the way you would any other salary negotiation. Prepare an argument as to why you deserve a raise and everything you do for the company and present that to your manager. Maybe wait like two or more months after you get your annual raise. Give yourself a little buffer there.

Wow thank you for your advice. I will be using this method because my previous method hasn’t been working so much. I do believe that is what they are doing to keep us but I deserve more than the minimum raises they give us especially in this economy.
