I’m struggling how to approach a new change at my company. We recently got a new manager who presents themselves like a dictator. I’ve been at the company 30 years and never once had a similar experience. Our culture has never been like this. I’m part of a seasoned team that is now treated as if we are entry level with zero experience. I’m not ready to leave the company but would like some advice on how to best navigate this.

How is the new manager 1:1? Is it possible they are just nervous and coming in, trying to look like hot sh*t, and will potentially dial it down once they get comfortable and less insecure as the 'new person'?
