I wish when the current government decides to suspend OPT or h1b they do so with a future timeframe. Meaning “no new OPT will be issued starting 2022”. That way the government sets expectations. Only a few will spend money and come here. And the ones that do will fully expect to go back. Dangling a carrot in front of new students and then snatching it away the last minute isn’t very nice

is it truly being implemented or is it the rumor mills? Don’t get me wrong - I support OPT but want to make sure that it is not a rumor mill driving this petition.
