To add on to the above,75k is around 4k/month net salary.
1. You can find your own studio for 1.2k-2k on zones 2-3. Lets assume 1.5k.
2. Bills, council tax will be about 300pm
3. Groceries say 300
4. Gym around 40-100. Lets say 60 assuming you go to a mid range gym like fitness first
5. Subscriptions (netflix, mobile plan, spotify, etc.) lets say 50.
6. Going out depends on how social you are. Pints are around 6-7 and eating out is at least 20-25 for a decent meal and 50 for a good meal. Assuming you eat out 8x a month, thats 200.
7. Budget another 300 for other socials like cinema, activities, etc
8. Lets say you get a daily coffee from starbucks which is about 3.50 (100pm) and buy daily lunch for 10 (300pm)
You would still have 900 pm left over to save (23% of take home pay) which is really good. For context, I’m on a similar salary, but share my flat with 1 person and I save at least 1.5k-2k pm. And I live very comfortably i.e expensive gyms, expensive groceries, no budgets.
You’ll be alright

Rent in a semi decent place will be at least 2k
Pro
Plus salaries are higher and taxes are lower
$120k is like entry level in elite white collar industries in NYC. You’re still living with roommates on that. Most likely outside of Manhattan.
Like £75,000 or so I think
Check out the gov website which tells you how much you’ll make after tax per month.
You’d be spending at least £2000 for your own place with bills ( at least)… so the rest depends on your financing situation and how you like living really.
The thing is I have a lot of credit card debt from being stupid during my first year and paying that back takes a lot out of my cash in hand per month. Also I do tend to treat myself to nicer places for a drink, which is also not good…so it really all depends on how you like to manage your finances
