I did a Super Day for a position at Lincoln International and they did the same thing. And what’s worse is that I actually thought it went really well. No follow up, no call, no email. Just a big, fat 👻.
Same happened to me with BAH. Followed up with recruiters twice too and no response. They proceeded to reject me from all my proceeding applications
You’ll get a letter in 2 months when they fill the position
I got ghosted hard after an interview 3 weeks ago that I thought went well. Followed up with the interviewer and HR twice each. Didn’t hear a peep and it’s created a lot of self doubt in me. Would appreciate even a standard rejections letter.
Lack of professionalism at KPMG. Should be a red flag for what you would be getting into had you joined.
Unfortunately it could be several things, some good, some bad:
1 lack of professionalism - this could be combined with one of the other reasons, since IMHO some feedback within 30 days is courtesy, even if to say they haven’t made a decision yet
2 they may have a long list of candidates for few positions and so are waiting to make a decision until they’ve interviewed all candidates
3 they may have decided you’re not right for the position, but are considering you for other positions
4 they may be waiting on funding for the position
5 the position may have been eliminated
6 Maybe a poor backdoor reference your not even aware of who might be working there now and saw your name on a resume
No, they will eventually let you know the outcome. They are probably interviewing other candidates too. You're still considered until you get an offer or rejection.
Yeah I was working with a recruiter at KPMG, he said he’d get back to me in a week with movement on roles, I didn’t hear from him, no answer to my follow up… I gave up
Had interview with them and they said they wanted to move to next round and then didn’t hear back to actually schedule anything..
big 4 moves especially slow
The ATS will auto generate a letter that will be emailed to you once the requisition is closed. Don't feel bad. This is the MO at KPMG.
I had the opposite experience where a recruiter wanted to talk about how I thought the interview went and what I learned AFTER they rejected me. Politely told them I disagreed with the decision and left it at that.
