In addition to human energy (a spoken benefit) I think agencies often distribute opportunities according to the classic raffle rule: must be present to win.
I think this is the big one.
I ran into a CD walking into the elevator. We got talking he mentioned how much he needed more scripts. So he threw me the brief. I wrote 8 scripts and one of them went to client.
That’s not a perk. That’s you doing more work. Work that was supposed to be done by someone else, who’s probably chilling at home.
