I'm a little bit under two years in my HR career. I was hired on full time has an HR Generalist and I want to start studying for my SHRM-CP, but I'm a little bit intimidated on how to start. Any advice would be helpful. So far I am going to get SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification All-in-One Exam Guide by Dory Willer on Amazon. Are there free online tests to take that are comparable to the exam?
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.

So turns out going in house was the best career move I’ve ever made! The stress of billable hours anchored unhappiness in my life and I recognized it but it took a six month job search to find the right in house role. Does anyone have any recommended organizations to join to connect with other in house counsel?
What are some questions you could expect when interviewing for an AE position? Trying to nail this interview tomorrow, so any advice/tips are welcome. Thanks!
I am planning to get back into consulting again. Have an offer from PwC. Currently working with an US bank. Can anyone shed some light on how travel is going to be post covid era? The only reason I left consulting was due to weekly travel but since work sucks at banks I am looking back at consulting again.
Interview has asked me to bring a "Social Strategy" that I developed to an interview. I've never personally built a tactical strategy... Strategists do that, right? Am I crazy? Advice?

Starting Salary for Staff 1 in NYC?
Do you think that with the new administration it will be easier to get visa sponsorship from big consulting firms? I am currently employed in the US on a F-1 OPT extension, but I will need H1B sponsorship in 2 years. I know that basically no consulting firm sponsors visas (for entry-level / 1 yoe). Has anyone managed to get sponsorship after OPT / heard anything on higher H1B quotas for consulting?

1 year and 3 month with two busy season experience, CPA licensed and CFE passed (don’t have two year experience yet), on a visa. What are the chances of me getting in forensic consulting? I’ve been cold calling people around but don’t seem like they are currently hiring.
I would appreciate some insight on the lateraling process - how long does a callback (interview after screener) take? And do they usually ask behavioral questions like they do for first years? Thank you!
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
In Texas. If my extension is filed and my i94/visa expires in 2-3 weeks , how to get extension on Driving license as it is tied to i94 expiration?Should we use i797 for this ?
I'm thinking about going back to get my Masters, but if I'm going to write a thesis or have a specialty, I want it to be a topic I'm passionate about that isn't locking me in to strictly teaching forever(M.Ed.). What did you get your Masters in? What have you done with it since? Ideally I'd like it to be something about social justice in relation to students, possibly with a religious component and how it plays out depending on school/district/community/home culture, but probably not ABAR??
