Best thing you can do is learn from this mistake and make sure it never happens again.
This is super common and happens at all levels once in a while. But as account, it's extra important to read your email twice before sending, checking if you attached what you said you were going to attach and checking if the attached is that correct version. Sometimes in high stakes deliverables to senior clients or management, if a file has had the same name for a while, I'll even go as far as opening the attachment in my own draft email to make sure it's indeed the correct one inside before clicking Send.
Just dont do it again but at the same time dont beat yourself up over it. Just move forward. Been there before fellow AE
This has happened to everyone. Good news is that an experience like this usually makes enough of an impact that you’ll be hyper aware of everything you send from now on. A repeat is probably unlikely.
BBDO 1 has it right. It is nothing more complicated than that. Check your work carefully. I’ve had to focus on careful proofreading & document checking my entire career, because I tend to get moving a little too fast in putting something out the door.
slow your pace a bit. I have trouble because I get a burst of anxiety and "must get this out the door" so I take a breath and look at it all thrice
