There’s something else out there for you.
Definitely ask what they meant by that. Be very respectful, say you'd greatly appreciate insight so you can work on whatever needs working on (phrased better, of course). But you want that information.
And when you're job hunting, never put all your eggs in any basket. Apply to everything you think you might be a candidate for. Never apply to one job at once. This is exactly what happens when you do. Obviously don't let potential employers know that lol. But cast your net WIDE.
Remember that you may know the job description, get along great on the interview, have a solid resume... but you have zero information on the other candidates they are also interviewing. That's a massive variable over which you have no control. So cast that net.
