Any BCG 🐠 willing to refer for an “Expert Project Leader” role that I saw promoted on LinkedIn? I have 8 years industry experience in the specified industry, 3 years in boutique consulting, and all 11 years in the specific operational focus noted in the post. Thanks in advance!
Need BCG advice. A BCG recruiter reached about an ‘Expert Project Leader’ role. Seems like an experienced hire programme for people with a very specific skill set (for me, supply chain stuff). Is this a good gig? Would appreciate any insight from BCG people if they have seen people in this role succeed. Thanks
What % of BCG Consultants make it to the Project Leader position? I want to stick with consulting at least for the next 4-5 years and I’m @ at S&. Deciding if the switch is worth it (e.g. new network, have to establish myself)?
What is a Deloitte M equivalent at BCG? A recruiter reached out to me about a project leader or principal role. Wondering how it all lines up w/ comp. thanks in advance all
I am taking on the Project Leader role on a project (not promoted yet) and the project’s previous PL, who I’m taking over for, is hyper on my throat...policing my prioritization of work, joining a call late and re-clarifying something I already covered with the client, etc. How to appropriately provide feedback to them to give me autonomy and agency?
I would love an exit oppy at a Pharma with at least $130k base comp and reasonable WLB (~9 hours/day, being able to pick up kid from daycare?). Area is Washington Dc/Bethesda/Gaithersburg. Am I dreaming or would a job like this exist? Currently a Project Leader at BCG - would not mind pay cut at all, I just want to be with my family
BCG fish - what's the difference between a consultant and project leader in regards to role played on a team, what you have to watch out for internally (i.e. Politics, selling / BD work), what are grounds for up and out? When does path to partner start to ramp up / how does it ramp up? Thanks!
Young 🐠 about to step into her first leadership position. What kind of hairstyle/cut/colour do you recommend to look more mature? Currently having long blond hair which I often curl. Definitely makes me look younger than I am and more like a beauty teen rather than a project leader. I am open to any kind of suggestions ☺️

Came across a role from BCG titled Principal but in the description states project leader and principal consultant. Expectation is only 5 years of relevant experience. Where is this in the hierarchy?🧐
Do MBB folks typically have to take a pay cut to exit to the industry? If you’re making 300k as a manager/project leader, it must not be easy at all to find roles with matching comp
Hi BCG 🐠! I’m looking to apply for the Project Leader position, focusing on Post-merger Integration. I’ve done M&A IT work at both D and S&. Would love to chat more for insights.
Put on a stretch role on a type of project I’ve never done before outside of my typical group. Managed and performed decently but deliverable wasn’t perfect. Is there anyway I can get project leader

Asking on behalf of my parent who I think is severely under compensated and needs to go elsewhere: - Associate Director at a F100 w/15+ YOE in this industry - Has an MBA and a PMP - Engineering background (foreign country) with program/project/portfolio management experience in current role Currently making $130-$150K with like a $20-30K bonus. What’s a realistic salary target? Always been a high performer but because English isn’t the first language I worry they’ve been taken advantage of.
Currently in core audit after 2 years and have my CPA. Looking for other jobs and wondering what potential exit ops there are? Have been looking for FPA roles but a lot require specific finance experience. Also, what kind of salary could I expect if I jump to roles like senior accountants?

What apps/systems do you use to keep track of all your projects and tasks for the various matters you're working on? I recently took on a more senior associate role and am juggling even more projects and assignments than before. I want to make sure I am putting my best foot forward and keeping track of everything I'm juggling so I don't drop something by accident.
Just got a head of planning role and have been asked what I want for a title. What are planning department heads called these days? Executive Planning Director? Something Strategy? Planning Poobah?
I interviewed for a role for another team within my organization and went on PTO for 2 days. When I came back my director told me I didn’t get the role but there were better plans for me in the near future. I found out from HR after that I did get the role but the organization decided to pause the offer waiting for another one in the near future. How would you react if your Director and company make a career choice for you without consulting with you?

Left public accounting as an Audit Manager to take a Controller position in private. Realizing I don’t want to get stuck in a Controller position LT and would like to possibly be in FP&A if I stayed in private. Have always had an interest in FDD and I am considering leaving private for FDD. Any thoughts on this potential move & if it would improve my chances of getting into FP&A later on?

Anyone here leave Deloitte/PWC/KPMG, go to B-school - intern at better consulting firm like McKinsey Bcg, and get school paid for by them? Sounds like a smart move to me
Quick update for those who might be curious about the situation in my school and our lack of COVID precautions. I often comment on here about how my school stayed in person all year last year with almost no difference from a normal year. No mask mandate, no teachers or staff masking. 10% or less of students masking. Very few vaccinated here. Results: we have no students, staff, or family members in the hospital. Very few cases either. Two months of this now.
United needs cash to pay for better PR. Upvote if you think they should relinquish some gates to Delta @ORD!
Every time I walk past Spirit gates, I get really good vibes. People waiting at those gates might not be frequent fliers, but they look so happy. Thats what vacation does to people i guess

With hotels and airlines struggling, do people think credit card travel perks/bonus points/reward systems will change post pandemic? Additionally, does anyone have and is satisfied with the amex hilton aspire card? Thinking of adding this to the wallet once travel opens up.
Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.
Having my performance review soon. Have not met my billable hours last year due to lack of work. I have been very proactive and constantly emailed partners to inquire about more work. I will be a 4 year associate this year. Thinking to negotiate my level/compensation. Any advise?
Know of any companies that hire Junior Art Directors? Bonus points if they're currently hiring! 🌟
Do you leave current position without being promoted to senior? Some opportunities come up but I am hesitating whether or not to wait until I got promoted.
Am I the only teacher who doesn’t have family or friends willing to help with their classroom? I’ve moved rooms every year for the last 5 years and I have a large family and lot of friends, but no one is ever willing to help. I told my mom today that it really hurts my feelings, as she declined my request to help as she simultaneously asked ME to help do something for my sister’s house. I explained I’m always there when people need me, but I feel let down when I’m in need. Anyone else?
Fishes - Appreciate any insights on prep for an upcoming interview with Uber for a strategic planning role. Thank you.
