Hello! I’m a specialist in Data and Analytics recruitment and I wanted to learn more about the hardships companies are seeing when trying to hire within this realm (Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, NLP Engineers, Computer Vision Engineers etc.) What has been your biggest challenge hiring for these (and similar) roles?

Good evening everyone. Anyone hiring remotely? Times are tight and in search of a second job; preferably part time PDT. I have over 6yrs in HR Administration and currently in an Ass /Generalist role.

Have you ever started a gig freelance to try a place out before going FTE and they just—for lack of a better term—sucked? Like, completely low-hanging fruit ideas, executional design creatives leading the work, no strategy, no insights, just…? I have no words.

I know agencies across the board did some layoffs right before the holidays, but when do we think hiring will pick up again? Getting to a point where I feel like I need to start thinking about a change.

We have employees across the US (and Canada) and looking to create a formal vacation policy specifically for the US team that addresses carry over (not allowing it).

How do others approach this? Is it through the employment agreement or, a written policy? What language do you use to address it?

Currently have an offer from ServiceNow for SDR role at 42k with OTE of 70.8k in Boston, MA after I graduate.

In the hiring process for DELL and Salesforce as well which leaves me with 2 questions:

Sales Engineer in the DC area, with 3 years in tech consulting and 2 years in sales engineering. Starting to think I’m underpaid at 105K total comp. Thoughts? Should I be changing companies or putting together an ask for more?

Question, I’m currently looking to be hired at Bank of America for a Administrative Assistant position. When I asked for salary in the interview process they said it was dealt with HR. Can someone share what they typically offer for that role and if I send out a counter offer what’s the leverage I can use. I currently have 8+ years in that field with 2 degrees.

As an Insurance Agent, I have tons of free time without a boss leaning over my shoulder telling me to get my numbers up. I do well, and will continue to do better each year, but there is a plateau and that may be in 10 years, but many make 200+.
As a 24 yr old with a major in finance and specialization in real estate, I took the first job, so I never experienced what else was out there. Does anyone have recommendations for a career that is flexible with high potential based off my background?

Percentage-wise, is there a higher percentage in getting more likely hired by an organization when an inhouse direct hire recruiter versus a third party recruiter is arranging the interview process? Are the chances with an in-house direct hire recruiter much much better therefore that building more repertoire with them versus third party recruiters hold more weight in landing the role?

Also, organizations would also be saving money through their own in-house recruiter I presume?

I have started applying for some SDR/BDR jobs and I have now come across two companies asking for CCAT tests during the application/interview process. I’m not sure where I stand on these. I have historically scored well on aptitude tests so I don’t think it would hold me back. But, the fact you don’t get to see your score doesn’t sit well with me for transparency. Seems kind of devious. Is this normal for these roles? Curious to hear opinions and experiences.

Best books or resources about restaurant marketing?

Feel like I’ve fallen out of love with sales. Love talking with people / presenting. Have been in my new role for a month, was promised a team to generate leads and all I do is cold call all day. Feel out of depth in terms of the knowledge I have. Can’t tell it’s imposter syndrome or need a new career change. Any advice? Feeling lost

I have a resume question!

I have 10 plus years of sales experience and 7 in an AE senior AE role however, when applying to positions that I know I am more than qualified for my resume is getting bot rejected before it even gets viewed. I am not sure why other than I do not have my b.a as I decided to pursue sales full time while in college and did not finish. This has not stopped me from getting interviews before , any ideas on how to get around the bots?

Landed a good offer from a company but I think I can do better. Asked for a signing bonus but they refused. Got a similar offer from a company I am not as excited about and I am using it as a leverage but still refused. What else I can do?

Thinking about going to my current manager and ask him to match the offer and if so come back with that to the current recruiter.

Any more ideas?
