Started accenture straight out of undergrad. Is it going to be hard to jump ship to another consultant firm after one year? I’m targeting big 4.
Pros and Cons of going from a Big 4 or large firm to a small local firm? My end game is to start my own accounting firm.

Would be nice if WPP spent less money mailing brochures to their own employees about benefits and more on the actual benefits. Secondly, didn't WPP pledge to become more environmentally friendly?
ACN 🐠 Anyone know if someone who left the firm between 9/1 and 12/1 and still received a bonus? If you read the policy, it states that you're technically still eligible... seems strange
Is anyone looking at upgrading and spending a fair bit more on rent? Given our wfh realities for the foreseeable further? I currently spend 2500 per month... but looking at going up to 3500-3700 and getting something real nice. Has anyone else been affected by the Marriott Union Strikes? I’ve been a regular guest for 2y at a hotel in an urban area. With the protests going on, the hotel has staffed extra...
Hired at a “big law” job about 4 weeks ago, tho they claimed they weren’t. They materially lied re: benefits, probation, 401k, training, work hours, etc didn’t even put 6 hours into “training me” tho they said they would. Got an out of the blue offer over the weekend in my preferred field. Gave notice on Monday, the partner swore, yelled, belittled me, and border line threatened my career. “Fired me” and said I was done that minute and now HR won’t return emails re: final check. Advice?
To all you lovely 🐟, what was the craziest thing that a candidate did/say when you were interviewing them?

I have undiagnosed PTSD from this industry. Layoffs, toxic culture, office politics, double standards, a healthy dose of #metoo scenarios. Thought I was on top of/over it but it gets triggered every now and then by circumstances that I can’t control. I live in fear of being “let go” every second of every day and it has and will continue to sabotage my career. Please help me. Desperately need support, advice and shoulders to lean on

How are the big 4️⃣ different from one another? What comes to your mind when you think on each of the big 4️⃣?
I’m super interested in types of people who project a certain image of wealth and then are secretly in debt, or “save” money by buying cheap and poorly made items therefore confirming that the excess spending we see is just for image. Does anyone have any book or podcast recommendations to learn more about this?
Ever had a client email your leadership team and specifically request they give you a higher raise and bonus, because they were so happy with the delivered product? Did your leadership team give you anything other than a pat on the back? I really need to get into independent consulting so I can finally get paid what I’m worth to clients
Not sure if this is a confession but I need to get it out there. I’ve been applying for a new job for a little over a yr (off and on) and stills cant get past the application or HR calls. Any advice?

Looking to exit consulting. Currently an analyst in SF and I will be applying for roles in big tech (FB, Google, Square, etc). Since I have multiple areas of interest, is it okay to apply to multiple job positions at these firms since they are so large, or should I stick with only one or two roles?
Just started my career and looking for advice. Other than putting money into my 401k what opportunities should I be looking at? I live for free so I have a decent amount of money.
