Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I produce “digital” for money and content for passion. Can I get paid to do both? Any agencies with actual “integrated” production departments? I’m sick of sites and banners.
Most overrated agency is _______________
To those who have several years of experience ion TA: Do you think staying in the campus recruiting space limits you? Should one try to get exposure to other HR areas for the long run?
So the same day CP+B closes the Miami office, the Boulder office has their holiday party? Tacky business.
Looking for book recos for creative people moving into managing people as CDs and not knowing WTF they're doing.
Lol at AdAge’s Small Agency awards.
Any agencies not returning to the office? I have loved this year of WFH and never want to go back.
Curious how other people’s brains work. When you get an activation brief, what’s your process for coming up with a solid idea? Look for cultural moments that you can adapt? Look through award show books? Scroll YouTube videos until 3am? I know that every brief and every idea is different, but I’m more interested in the process and what you’re creative routine is to get the wheels turning. Thanks.
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
1 ACD at a big global agency in bigger ad town, 100% on one national brand OR CD at tiny agency and smaller hometown where you could touch everything and shape the culture and trajectory of shop???
Is Deutsch LA a sinking ship? I’ve heard from a few creatives the culture there has gotten more toxic in the past few months. They have a great portfolio - was considering working there one day but...
Continental breakfast is not real breakfast.
Fishbowl feature you'd like to see added...
Help! Would you stick around for a team you work well with for a “potential engagement” that is not sold yet OR go to a new team with a sold engagement? Especially while preparing for promotion and YE reviews.
Relocating states and taking a flight. Shall we (spouse and me) take J&J one shot vaccine now before the travel next weekend, or safely travel to new place and get Pfizer/Moderna double doses? Just want to be safe while traveling. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hey, guy in airport bar. Stop grinding on that deck, it's Friday of a holiday weekend... lighten up 🌴🍹
How much of a cut to expect when going from freelance to full time? I'm already paid W2 in a large global agency for one client only. Want to have some realistic expectations of how negotiations will go.
Pretty sure my managing partner just caught wind of me applying to other firms even though I used a recruiter. I know it happens, but how do I prepare for the potential blowback? What do I say if he asks about it?
Can you start working at another big 4 firm while taking terminal pto at your current one (during 2 week notice period), assuming that you are not on a project?
Hi I just finished audit intern at Deloitte but doubtful of accepting the offer. I’m looking into seeking opps in advisory or consulting. How should I approach this matter to managers and partners?
Looking for advise 🙏 I am an Indian on H1B with I140 filed. I started career with hands-on ETL /DW experience and got an MBA about 10 years ago. Since then I am in consulting and worked on vendor selection, contracting, IT org assessments and a little IT strategy. I have wide exposure to IT infra, ADM and lately AI and DevOps. As a father of young kids, I am looking to move to industry or tech. Any suggestions on companies I should try for and roles that may be a fit, in South East US?
Deloitte folks: Health club while traveling... Can I get a gym pass for 10 days rather than pay each day for using in the clients site? Do I charge this to the project or GAA?
Do y'alls let your whole team yourself know 2 weeks ahead personally when you're leaving, or only your project lead? Don't know what the tactful approach is
Technically against policy or law if you are turned down for roles because you mention you have AT during the role?
If you're going to IAH terminal A this morning: joker doing TSA pre check and priority lanes is doing 4 pre check for every 1 priority - don't do priority lane or you'll miss your flight (like me😭)
Offer to work as a director of strategic initiatives for an early stage physician practice org owned by a PE firm. Any tips for comp negotiation including bonus/equity? New to the PE space so help is appreciated. 8 YOE in consulting.

Hey Fish! I have an acquaintance from Penn who is looking for some guidance about applying to consulting firms. She is specifically looking to get connected to folks from Alvarez and Marsal. Anyone willing to hop a on a call?
I need to get surgery to fix a non day-to-day impairing injury. 6 week recovery time minimum, would prevent travel.Rolling off project at end of month, and leaving firm for MBA by August (firm knows)
On my first vacation. Was hoping to see a bunch of emails come my way so I could ignore them. Not a single email directly for me. I feel like that girl that wants attention when she doesn't get it.
Skincare q: do you buy skincare from your medical aesthetician? I don’t mind investing if it’s worth it but their products they are trying to sell me (developed in their labs) are $100-200 each (ie, retinol, vitamin C, glycolic). I feel I can be getting quality products at a fraction of the price from the drug store that are still recommended by derms (ie basic Cerave). What do you think? Do you get what you pay for?
Applied for a UK visa about 3 weeks back. Looks like there is no means to check the status now. I still have 2 weeks for my travel, but any recent experience with the process? Paid email query useful?
Can you share your agency’s maternity leave policy? Do you have a paternity policy as well?
