Hi all, I’m a mechanical design engineer with 7 years experience in product design in the automotive and aerospace industry combined, and I have always had a interest / passion for architectural design. I’m curious to see if anyone has seen or heard of people making the jump from mechanical design engineering to architectural design. How difficult of a jump/transition would it be?

Any suggestions for a formula to calculate a running count of the number of incidences in a list? For example, in a list with A, B, C, B; I want to label A = 1, then the first B =1, and first C = 1, and then the second B = 2, etc. The list is in a column and there are thousands of names. Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.
