Every single day without fault, I zone out at 3pm in the office. What is that? I literally cannot focus beyond that time. I think studies show that’s quite normal. Can anyone else relate to this? And how can I pretend to be busy in the office after this time?!

Medication? Beyond that, when I notice myself in that situation, I go step outside for a minute, take a quick walk around the building, or otherwise change my scenery. It helps a little bit.

Mine is more like 11 am, and I start to lose my focus. I just make sure to get a lot of work done before then. Check emails, find little parts of something bigger to check off.

At one job I had I would eat a Snickers at 3 pm. Had to. It was the only thing that worked.

I hit that same slump every single day. I don't know what it is but my brain just wants to shut down and I am usually ready to go. I pretend to be busy for the rest of the day haha.

Chalk it up to circadian rhythm. Humans have a rhythm where we are most tired at 2-3 am and our next “most tired” in the cycle is 2-3pm. We are on 12 hour cycles. It’s been like that since the beginning. Hundreds of thousands of years so they say. Some people call it the 2 o’clock slump or something like that. 5 hour energy used to use that in their ads. And it is totally normal. You can try to change when you ingest your caffeine and other things but it likely won’t matter much. It’s just your circadian rhythm. This is why it’s rough for overnight workers too

Do you live a regular schedule? You can check to see if your schedule is consistent or if different, what have you changed to make it different? The three O'Clock hour could be related to an issue world-wide, an issue related to time as leadership progresses. I would take a walk, drink something healthy and refreshing (even water), and do an extreme change of pace to accommodate your catatonia.

I too have this problem…. It’s not always possible to follow the below, but when I do I have much better luck.

Have a no/low sugar COLD caffeinated drink around 1030am. Lower carbs and increase protein for lunch , and do some walking or stretching after. Some cold grapes, berries, bell peppers or cucumbers at 2pm. Cold water all day. Save the more fun/interesting tasks for the afternoon. Get the boring/stressful ones in the morning.

Could be too much blood in the caffeine stream. Might be a post lunch slump... You've done your hardest work, earned your meal, the chase is over... It's time to rest and digest. Maybe a lighter lunch could help.. or a better night's sleep. Perhaps a caffeine break for a week or so to pay back some of that sleep debt we're all avoiding.

Fresh air, cold water, a brief exercise, a little sugar hit are all valid healthier ways to cope than another red bull.

I've been following Coforge LinkedIn page, and I have decent offer from them. In one call HR said we will be moving towards 5 days work from Office, to which I said I don't mind. Now that aside, their LinkedIn posts everyone at VP SVP levels are joining.. seems like they are growing very fast, as hiring at such high Positions happens only that time.

Question is - whenever I compare Coforge with any other people say avoid Coforge.. Why????

One of the team member has applied leaves for continuous 3 days this month. Later she applied for a 15 days leave saying a medical emergency. Both the leaves were rejected from her manager saying connect with HR. though she is on leave without PM leave approval and this is not even prior notice to the team.
Now'what and all would be the consequences she might face. Is there any chance of these things are being escalated? Please advise!
