Where did the senior consultants (post mba) you know, end up after being laid off this winter/spring? Was it easy or hard for them to find jobs?

Our service line partner used the Twitter layoffs to remind us not to complain if our bonuses aren't as big as we wanted this year during our service line call today. Talk about cringe and lacking emotional intelligence.

Quick survey: How many people were fired from Big 4 during the pandemic? Big 4 always boast that they don’t fire people but I’ve been shocked to hear this year that numerous firms did during the pandemic.
Now all of these firms are scrambling as they look for talent and people are refusing to come back.

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

Wasn't sure if I should post this in Federal, but just got hired to GPS. I received a interim clearance for a public trust. My biggest concern is that I was fired from my first job after college. I was actually very shocked that I got the interim without any questioning.

My question is what does D do if you can't get a trust? Do they fire you?I want to know because I am starting to consider to move, but don't want to move to DC and not have a job...

Just found out a few senior managers are being laid off. We just hired a couple new seniors and staffs, how worried should I be as a staff?

If offered a great position and 30% bump, seems like a no brainer to jump. But I’m wary of an upcoming recession, and how being a new employee would make me vulnerable to layoffs. What do you think?

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

If you are happy with your job, but need to make sure you can feed your family at the end of the quarter when more layoffs are expected, do you stay or do you go?

Let's cool it with the layoff threads team. Consulting is up or out and the business model depends on 15-20% churn to work. Unless you're seeing 1 in 5 people quitting expect some firings every year

Was put on PIP coz of last year's util%.
Currently having intermin above expectations in PIP. PIP POC says BPOC(SM I haven't worked with) fired on him for giving a good feedback and asked to set unrealistic expectations w/o - clarity in requirements, supporting docs(tho they have it) and feedback.
I have recorded the calls with PIP POC & coach telling that they can't go against BPOC and give a good feedback despite I meeting all the expectations.
Should I show the rcrding to MD/HR?

34 soon to be 35F. I am alittle stressed about the fertility cliff. I did not want children before and now I do, possibly in 2 years. I was in a long term relationship, and now getting back together and trying to figure things out. I know time is not on my side. Background on birth control: I was on 2 x Mirena IUDs, Depoprovera, Alesse 21+ 28 (21 - 33). I removed the 2nd IUD at 33. My OBGYN said it is normal for system to recalibrate after 1 yr. It has been 1.5 yrs and only 1|2

Was on a client call today with the rest of my team and call began with introductions and everyone in my team introduced themselves in a roll call manner. I was expecting my name will be called as I did majority of the analysis work & will be asked to introduce myself. But my director went ahead & told that I am a staff member on the call to take notes when clearly I did more than that.I felt rejected, demotivated & cried on mute. Please advice what should I do in this situation.

I work in energy in New Mexico and am just wondering if it's smarter to move to Dallas or Austin to practice. Family is tired of New Mexico and the wife wants a better community to live in so that's a factor too. Open to all opinions.

So does ADHD cause anxiety? Or do I just have both? I get so anxious about phone calls and meetings even when I know they're going to be positive. It's like my brain automatically goes to the worst possible outcome first.
