I'm SHRM-SCP certified and I have been interested in the total rewards or compensation side of HR. Do you think that getting the CCP certification is a good investment? I've seen many Total Rewards open positions but I feel I don't have the necessary experience. Any advices?

Does the word “inclusion” do more harm than good? What if the panel we simply said “Diversity & Equity”? My thought here is that inclusion insinuates that anyone who isn’t in the “majority” needs to feel “included”, which could be somewhat off putting. Shouldn’t the goal be for everyone to feel equal instead of simply feeling included? I’d love to get some opinions on this!

I want to get my masters in HR, but I also want to get my phr.. is it better to get one over the other? Or should I do both. Are there any masters hr program someone can recommend?

I have been an HR assistant for 2 years in the public sector 80% staffing 20% recruiting, I want to break out into the private sector and have 5+ interviews but never seen grab there attention. Recruiters have told me that I interview well, Any Advice?? I have also gotten a Hr management Cert and working on my PHR.

Fellow Payroll colleagues, how much are you getting paid and YOE? I’m a new pay admin with less than a year of experience in Hawaii and I feel like I am underpaid for the amount of work I do. Aside from processing payroll, I also do HR related work, specifically benefits and leave management and the amount of work is sometimes too much for me. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m new to the job or if the work is really too much because it’s overwhelming.

Question for any indigenous people out there. My company is seeking to create employee resource groups and would like to use the word tribes to use them, as it is an alliteration to our company name, but also the definition means a group of people from the same community/culture. I was wondering though if this might be considered offensive to anyone, as that is the complete opposite of our intent. Would love your thoughts on this?
