Does your current job allow you to work from home? That's important if you are going to. need to move. 1 year is not a lot of time. Employers don't like to see "job-hoping". Stay where you are for a little longer... maybe another year or two before you do a move. Who knows, the 2nd place you had mentioned might not work out. It might just end and you will be left with nothing as you said. At least you have a steady income right now which is more than most of us on this forum have. Consider yourself lucky you are working and stop that "Im not happy" thing. Non of us are "happy"... just trying to survive.

In this job market, my advice is to stay. A move is big, and so is starting a new job!

It all depends on the duration. A temporary contract for three months is one thing; a temporary contract for three years is another.
