What is the best way to prepare for a summer associate role in BigLaw (V100 firm)?
Any books, YouTube channels, or other resources resources you would recommend?
Up until last weekend, I was in the recruitment process for a summer associate role at EY-Parthenon Strategy, London UK. They sent me an email saying the program was cancelled due to covid, but I've heard nothing about this from any other source, so I'm a little suspicious...
Hello! I just passed the patent bar a couple of months ago so I'm applying to my first patent agent roles. However, I only have a masters in law, not a JD, so I have no summer associate experience, and every position wants experience first. How did some of you other patent agents get your first positions if you've never worked in a law firm before? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!
I’m a third-year associate with an Am Law 200, doing mostly transactional corporate/M&A work. I took the job right out of law school after working at the firm as a summer associate, but my goal has always been to move to a position with more litigation work. I've learned that there aren’t any litigation opportunities within my firm, so I'm looking for positions elsewhere. Any advice on next steps to make this transition and what the market might be like for a junior associate with my experience?
Night student (fulltime lit. paralegal) looking for 2021 summer associate position. OCI postponed..should I email alumni at big firms to chat/network? Is that welcomed? Decent grades & on law review.
Laid off from AMLaw200 firm due to coronavirus. Had great grades first year of law school. Top of class. Able to secure summer associate position at this firm, led to first year associate position. But I did poorly after the first year of law school and graduated below 3.0 gpa. Do I have a shot at another big law firm? Seems that so many place an emphasis on grades rather than relevant experience. *sigh*

In the city this week trying to meet with as many recruiters as possible. I have quite a few meetings lined up, but they’re not currently hiring. Does anyone know of any places looking for a Jr AD?
I have been in my current position for 5 yrs with minimal pay increases despite consistent praise from management for being one of the strongest in our department. I hold specialty certifications, staff in ICU and ED, am part of several hospital committees, and regularly perform formulary reviews/MUEs/guideline updates. I recently found out that a new hire with no experience was brought in at a higher hourly rate than myself and several other female staff. Suggestions on steps to take with mgmt?

Is Deloitte or Accenture hiring in Healthcare? I can’t seem to find any positions below Senior Manager. I would be at Senior Consultant-Manager level. Have mainly commercial provider experience but have done some life science as well. Thank you everyone!
So... I already accepted a position, but then got offered another job that I like better. Can I change my mind and what should I tell them?
I don’t mean to be vague but does anyone have experience or insights on if things are “better” as a black person working as a consultant or in house somewhere rather than in an agency? Any POV is helpful. For background I currently work at Ogilvy in a pretty junior role and I see NO ONE that looks like me. Peers or at the top aside from those in HR/diversity and in addition to dealing with the day to day reality of being a POC in corporate America, its hard to visualize a path to “the top”.
Please refer me for any job role in Service Management. I am working as incident and change manager. I have 6.7 years of experience.
I've been teaching for 20 years. I'm a little burned out from being in the classroom? This covid thing has made it harder for me to enjoy being in the classroom. I still have 10 + years until I would feel good about retiring. Would you recommend me moving to an admin position?
Im someone with a "business" background (supply chain, procurement) that went to work for as a consultant for tech consulting firm after finishing my MBA, but now having trouble finding a project. Got my PSM 1 cert, but not sure what else to do. Not a technical person, never coded. What would you recommend someone in my position to focus on? I'd like to remain on the project management/BA side of the business. TIA!

I got some good news that one of the accounting firms I associate with is starting hiring again for September 2020. If you have 3+ busy seasons with a Big 8 firm and were laid off or looking for work, feel free to message me for more details. I am paid for referrals, but I don't need the money so no hard sells😋 hoping to help our laid off accounting people. Admins feel free to delete it not appropriate.
Accenture 🐠, are you all still in a hiring freeze in Accenture Federal? I had an offer from them way back in December which they didn’t take back and told me wait until there’s a need again. But I’m wondering if I should just give up at this point. I’m in the DMV area, and it was for a Agile Business Analyst role.
Still figuring out creative promotions: is it essentially jr ad/cw -> ad/cw -> sr. ad/cw -> acd -> cd -> ecd -> cco

I will be traveling with my newborn for four weeks when she is about 3-4?months old. We will probably plan to rent a few Airbnbs for a week each and then hop around different cities. How should we think about packing and what would you make sure to bring? Trying to navigate the stroller/car seat/crib needs while wanting to pack in a way that we can be on planes / boats / trains. Anything else to consider not being home during this part of my maternity leave?

I was recently put on a 30day plan, busted my ass on it and was let go during covid. I’m beyond hurt and I feel very targeted and it never felt fair. What else could I do? I’m embarrassed and I recently came across one of the women who never liked me on social media and all the feels felt fresh again.
