Any information about Syneos Health? How is the culture and growth opportunities? Any inputs would be appreciated.
Hi all, as a Talent Acquisition Partner that is looking to start expending my Professional education, would you recommend pursuing SHRM-CP certification?
I have been working in HR since 2004. I have a bachelor's degree but it is not in HR, it's in a medical/technical field. My entire career in HR has been on the job training and I have worked besides people with HR degrees doing the same things they do. What extra skills do you think your HR degree gives you that you wouldn't have without the degree?
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
Im interested in becoming a HR Generalist and I am well versed in TA & HR but I get passed on b/c I have 1.7 years of experience. Is it possible to fill in labor laws and employee relations skill gap or would I really need to learn this from experience?
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
Is your organization planning to require employees be vaccinated? I understand why management wants this but concerned about losing good employees because they don’t believe in vaccination or are wanting to wait until more people have been vaccinated to see if there are issues with it. I’m also concerned with moral if we require this. Employees may get it to keep there job but hold on to some bitterness or develop anxiety over it. Am I being too soft or over analyzing?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Best software sales executive in the world 🤣
To hr professionals in finance..I’m considering getting an online certificate through Cornell in data/analytics. Worth it or do employers think it’s equivalent to Coursera?
Hello, we recently built out a technology team at our company. They are a phenomenal team with great work flow, rapport and collaboration however, most are junior in their career which can make it difficult for our senior lead to step away. They all receive professional dev allowances so we would like to work toward identifying possible future leads and laying out a growth plan. Do any of you have best practices, tips or resources in doing this specifically for tech talent?
Hey all! We have a candidate we're considering for a management position. One of our partners found a news story about him from a few years ago that's negative, though not necessarily awful. It was a small-town-gossipy local news story about his solo business, but all the comments on it from locals said he's a great guy and very professional. Anyways, this partner would like me to question the candidate about this news story. I'm curious how anyone else would approach this? Any suggestions?
Young 25 year old bilingual French in Security Sales as an SDR. Making 200% of my number on average. Company doesn’t have a clear path as a next step and I’ve been in the role for a year. I am hungry and continue to study and learn. Company has good culture, But 80k OTE sounds light for my investment. Currently speaking with upper-level management to create a path. Any advice?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Anyone who interviewed with Goldman Sachs recently, how did the salary negotiations go? The couple of calls I received from HR, they want to pin down a number before even proceeding for the interviews. So just wondering if they negotiate it when giving an offer.
I've been carrying a backpack for awhile now for meetings and travel, should I opt for a shoulder/messenger bag? Any suggestions?
The lions are about to hire the D coordinator from the Patriots who just lost to the D coordinator of the Eagles who the lions fired a few years ago 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I will never see lions SB 🙁

Best MBA prep courses? Looking to do an in person, weekend course. Would love to hear your insights or thoughts! TIA and sorry if this has been asked a dozen times.
Anyone else currently dealing with the fact that their job/project is exacerbating the deterioration of their mental health?
Is it easier/harder to recruit for mckinsey implementation vs a generalist role for mba full time recruiting? I kinda like ops work, but wondering if there's any issues with supply & demand re: hiring.
Did anyone receive the CPA bonus from KPMG and have to repay it for not staying with the firm for a year after receiving it? How did you handle it?
I’m interviewing with Capital One this week! I’m very excited- Analyst position. Any tips?
Started with Deloitte a few months ago. The offer was Manager at $140,000 with a $10,000 signing bonus. GPS Advisory. Was this a good offer?
My h1b got approved this year in Consular processing and with all the uncertainty I am planning to change it to a COS instead. Anyone applied for a change to Change of Status from Consular processing. How much time does the process of changing to COS usually take? Potential RFE etc?
So I was hired exactly 2 months prior to this covid epidemic and as a result it has made learning how to be a lawyer quite a rollercoaster. I’m trying to learn how things are supposed to be but in all actuality, I’m having to be flexible and figure out how things are working at the moment...which is fine, but it’s hard to predict much of anything when you have nothing to compare it to. Being a law student and interning is nothing compared to practicing. Any advice!?
Just got promoted! What salary can we expect as new Manager 1’s? High cost of living area - Advisory PI
Any downside to studying for the gmat on own and then enrolling in a prep course in the future? I know I want to do MBA down the line but was thinking of just getting practice in now b4 grinding
