Either that, or NK caused a pending massive ecological disaster with their testing, and finally realized they came close to triggering a volcanic eruption, on top of the leaking nuclear waste from the test that collapsed a cavern and caused a 6.3 earthquake. Probably want things resolved so they can ask for international help before radioactivity flows into China.
I think it’s great that Trump got 3 prisoners released. He can get credit for that. I think his overall P&L as President is negative, but not entirely so. I was just responding to all this talk about “Barry” having failed at getting prisoners out
But NOTHING TANGIBLE HAS HAPPENED YET.
North Korea promising to do things isn't the same as those things actually being done.
It’s hard to say. Too soon to tell whether this actually leads to be a peaceful solution or NK is buying time and trying to change the relationship
LOL
This didn’t age well
^”are being released”. It is an active process. Still more progress than Barry achieved
Oh and guess what these prisoners won’t be released comatose. Barry should forfeit his unearned Award. That is the noble unselfish gesture
Right. It was all Trump, even back then?
Slow your roll man. I think Trump is an f’ing idiot, but if he actually gets these prisoners out, I’m happy to give him credit.
Damn. Was just trying to get the convo going. Not sure you understand the history of NK. Guess we’ll find out in 3 weeks
EY1, you should know that Trump has a lot of experience in dealing with geopolitical disputes , as NK is like any other real estate deals with reasonable stakeholders. So, shush 🤫
Lolz Lolz lolz VP1 sounds like a very stable genius himself
But Obama got a Nobel peace prize
‘Twill be interesting to see if this is just another NK ploy for sanctions reductions or if this is the real deal... If the north actually disarms without the US agreeing to a ridiculous demand (like we pull all our forces out of the peninsula), then I agree Trump will deserve much of the credit and that will be his legacy. I’m a big trump hater but that would be *huge*
^they will never disarm. Kim has been selling having nukes to NK citizens as a justification for their sacrifices economically. Doesn’t make sense for him to turn around now that he has it and say just kidding. His angle is to be acknowledged as a nuclear state. He might agree to no more testing. But he’s not dismantling
NK lost their Nuke testing site..so they can’t do much for some time anyway. So they might be playing coffee and cigarettes for now. Having said that, it should be considered an achievement for Trump admin. Simply because Obama would have sold it the same way.
Meeting the NK leader as a US president ...which is going to be first and historic on its own. Putting denuclearization on the agenda is a good start. It may lead to nothing . But Oslo accord led to nothing ...but it was an achievement
Media too busy covering stormy Daniels and Cohen to pay attention to global stories.
Starting to think trump is purposefully fueling the Russia and stormy stories to keep the media busy while none of his policy folks get bothered.. may be giving too much credit though
Nobel prize is reserved for genuinely peace loving individuals , like the lady from Myanmar ! Oh wait ..
The fact that people are calling this a victory for Trump when he’s had hardly anything to do with what’s happened are honestly laughable. When I heard that some people were trying to get him a peace prize I thought it was satire.
^3american are being released. Obama couldn’t even negotiate the release of Otto and yet Obama was awarded a peace prize for nothing. Now that is satire
