Workday HELP! I need an amazing consultant or contact who can help us fix our workday woes. I’m not in charge of workday but I’m determined to fix it. We have massive issues with the complexity and ever changing security/permissions/workflows implemented by our system analysts. Every couple of months it changes and we all have to relearn simple tasks again. The analysts try to blame the users but I know it’s more than that.
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?

I can’t help but feel that the partners in my practice have already decided who they’re investing in to help develop and promote—and it doesn’t include me. I’m a high performer and well-liked, but I see other people at my level and above still get preferential treatment and I think this is hindering promotion. My only solution is to find an exit to another firm. Has anyone else been in this situation and also found their only way to solve this was to leave?
All I want are accurate numbers. Total number of known cases by locality, town, city, county, state, region, age group, race, etc. Then to compare those to issues like number of deaths (and I mean specific to Covid-19 and not that they have the antibodies or had it at some point - I mean specific cause of death is Covid-19). L us see the math and make our own decisions. A report said if you “take out” people above 60yo the infection rate is 0.0003%. I don’t know who or what to trust anymore.
