Is it normal for an insurance company to not have verification procedures in place to ensure proper identification of inbound callers? Literally ANYONE can (and does) call in, say they’re someone who has verifiable interest on the claim, and my company will release info to this person or add them to the claim even if they weren’t named as an involved party during FNOL. All they need is a policy number and the policyholders name, and we will add them to the claim. Same goes for emails & bills.
