Hey FB, I'm writing a research paper on the new CEIV certification. What are your thoughts on it? Do you see it as beneficial, do you think it will affect PA significantly? Any thoughts appreciated!
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Part of me wants to get at MBA, open a couple businesses, travel the world and put serious relationships off for at least another decade. The other part wants to marry within 2 years and have 5 kids
How did you know when you were ready to apply to b school? I can’t tell if I should wait an additional year and apply R1 in 2021. I know my post mba goal and I’m ready to go get it, I’m just concerned
Mba.com won’t allow me to schedule a GMAT exam within 16 days of eachother. Is there any issues with just creating a second account and scheduling it anyway?
Anybody refinanced student loans with Earnest? How does it compare to Sofi or any of the other better known ones who claim to account for earnings potential (i.e. would benefit me for MBA loans)?
Do any of y'all's firms have MBA networks? Considering starting one at my firm, but curious if this is a thing elsewhere. Thinking it could be a valuable resource for advice/networking/programming, etc. for employees considering an MBA program.
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance

Hi, I’m currently a consultant based in the US and my dream is to move to London to pursue a MBA. However, a majority of these programs require a 3.0-3.3 GPA minimum and I unfortunately received a 2.9 (not proud of this but it is what it is) does anyone have any advice on how I can get past this or is it going to be impossible for me to get into grad school in England? Thanks!
Anyone who gave the CFE exam recently care to share some tips & tricks on the prep ? I am contemplating to give it in next 2-3m.
Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).
Just had that moment where I realized two years of hard work and persistence paid off. To all my fellow incoming MBAs this fall, congratulations and enjoy it all! Future MBA 🐠, never give up.
I salute and admire all🐟but have special respect for those who are on the journey without "the advantages". The advantages of a role model, sinecure, legacy pref. There are a lot of us. #Grateful.
So I understand age discrimination in the general sense and I believe in it. However, I think something that isn’t talked about is age/gender discrimination against women in the reproductive age range. I feel like people could be looking at me and thinking: if we hire her, she might get pregnant soon. It’s so unfair and this is why we have a wage gap (or one of the reasons)! Thoughts? Any ways to get around this?
my friend works way less hours than me and is getting paid a 6 figure base in non finance/tech (we're both a year out of college). bonus will push me over but still makes me want to quit...
Career Options: Recent CPA, have Masters in Accounting. Currently live and work on LI (Banking Ind.) at 70k/year. I enjoy learning and am aiming for CFE next. Any recommendations on Big4?
Any suggestions on MBA loan companies? Bank rates are low, should I consider federal loan or any other private institution? Thank you for your help 🙏🏽
If I am more interested in Finance, rather than Auditing, would I be better off leaving for an FP&A role after 1 year of public, or sticking it out for another year until I hit senior?
I really struggle with the small talks in meetings, coming from a different culture only adds to complexity.
Looking for insight from 🐠 at Simon Kucher. Had a recruiter reach out and am going to speak with the Head Partner of one of their practices in Atlanta. Curious any feedback on culture, types of projects, comp, opportunity within the firm, etc. How does it compare to big 4 / ACN? Would be coming in at manager or director level.
Everyone says the culture at IQVIA is bad? What does that mean? Concrete examples? Poor collaboration?
I have a campus recruiting event next Saturday for 5 hours. This is on top of my project work. Can I charge OT for it? I'm an analyst.
“Lots of people love flowers. Some cut them, Some plant them.” Any other women feel as though they were hired for their skills/accomplishments, but then shoved in a box unable to push themselves further? I feel cut instead of planted.
I work for a small boutique firm with ABYSMAL and TOXIC culture. The CEO has a habit of firing anyone who questions/disobeys him (he fired 40+ consultants since concis started) 5 consultants (incl myself) quit in the past 2 weeks leaving the firm with less than 10 consultants. I’m loving this karma
MIT Sloan vs. Insead? Short term goal is to work in the alternative food/proteins space in the US. Long term goal - industry undefined but likely in Asia.
Hey there ladies. I’ve been to many dermatologists/ allergists but no dice on a resolution so I thought I’d see if anyone else has experienced this. I’ve had very bad eczema in the past and have been using topical steroids for wayyy too long. I was able to wean myself off of using steroids on my body but my face/ around my mouth hasn’t worked that much. Up until very recently I was using desonide on my lips for dermatitis. Since I’ve stopped 3-4 weeks ago my lips have been extremely rough
