What are some creative ways to teach labs online?

Any favorite online lab simulations? We already use PhET and Gizmos.

Has anyone attempted lab “kits”? A small set of materials you send home with a kid to do a lab at home?

Do you cover significant figures, exponential notation and dimensional analysis (conversions) at the beginning of the course, or interspersed within the curriculum, and for how long?
