https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/district-layoffs-094500928.html For those who have been screaming we can't open the economy back up until there is a vaccine, I hope you realize this is only the beginning of layoffs-and just one sector of economy.
Small town teachers....how do you get past the insulation? I can’t talk to anyone in my district about issues I’m having with admin because it’s a small town & they cover each other and gaslight you. The school district only cares about their PR and has vague policies that keep us from saying against them, yet we can’t say anything TO them either. My union rep is trying to help but she also said that it’s all too common for small towns. They always win & you just have to suck it up or get fired.
I am a second year associate and I just got fired from big law, even though the firm said they’re not going to be laying anyone off. They’re paying me severance until mid-December. Where do I go from here?
Will org transformation / human capital see a greater increase in work post virus given the layoffs, etc? Or will companies not want to spend for consulting firms?

Thought: Should companies not give full time offers to incoming interns if that means they will be able to layoff a smaller number of workers who are qualified to do their job and not underperforming?
TFW when you ask for a raise mere days before layoffs start happening and you wonder if you just screwed yourself. 😒
I feel like every time someone posts something about taking a long stint of PTO, everyone comes down and says they're gonna get fired. Take PTO, get fired. Don't, and get walked over. Yay.

those of you that were around in 2008, were there any agencies that emerged unscathed or was it just layoffs across the board?

Why do interns or college seniors put on their LinkedIn “Incoming Consultant for X Company” on their profiles? Why can’t they just put their job whenever they start?
Recruiters are such awful people. Pressuring you for comp. Has anyone actually been asked by a bank what their past comp is? As in pay stub? Isn't that illegal?

My friend is an EA executive assistant to a C suite finance guy and makes 110k base, upwards of 40k bonus a year. She works 9-5. How is this even fair when I'm on the road every week with crazy hours
I was due for my annual check w/ my gynecologist late March, but due to COVID19 I didn’t schedule my appointment. I am too scared to be in any health care facility right now (CONT).
