In your district, what is the annual salary for first year teachers and what is top of the scale salary for veteran teachers?
FYI in Maryland, public school teacher’s salary raise is 11% more? They don’t bargain for anything less than that.
What is your School Counselor salary? …and what state/area do you work in? how long? any other degrees or credentials that impact that?
Curious on how long you have taught and the salary you make based on years worked? How much do you pay in healthcare? Do you have a pension?
Looking for Parkrose School District teachers 2022 Salary Update bowl. Anyone know where to find this?
I'm all for accelerated teacher internships... that's how I initially started. In the first Bilingual/ Spanish program- USC and LAUSD. Had to have a BA and ability to speak Spanish. They didn't accept HS graduates, veteran or not! Standards not lowered! I had to take entrance exams, state tests, and take out loans! District reneged on hiring us, newly licensed at higher salary, expanded the program and hired the new cheaper interns! Wipe-out credentialed teacher loans and increase our pay!
Okay fishbowl I have a conundrum. I received a job in a new state that blows my current job out of the water. 10K raise and the salary table is much more appealing. Will be making 75K at 30 years old compared to about 62K at my current district (im 25 now).
I think I’m having cold feet or something but upon receiving the “you’re hired” phone call I felt not one bit of excitement and actually found myself wishing that they said “sorry you didn’t make the cut”. Why do I feel this way? Help!
I had an interview 3 or 4 months ago with a HS Vice Principal, I thought it went well. He spoke about a potential Demo lesson and visit to the school, due to its location and salary range I was excited. He told me they will be in touch soon. However, months passed with no word, so I accepted another offer, and within the same week I accepted another offer. 3 months after being ghosted, I received an invite for an in-person interview and demo lesson. What’s up?
Reading neaToday, which entity sets a teacher’s salary in New Mexico & Mississippi, the state or the local school district?
Which entity sets salaries in New York and Michigan?
Question: Curious, what range of salary would be for 13 years as a para in C-setting classroom, Delaware. Thank you
Currently looking for teaching jobs in NY. Any advice?
I have a master’s degree in education and my salary isn’t even above 52k 😩.
I think I’ve hit my wits end. I’ve constantly asked for support to no avail, and now I have a student transferring and I feel as if my admin has been comin on me hard, putting little things on a written record as an excuse to not offer me a position next year.
My birthday is tomorrow and I don’t even care for it. I’ve spent the last 3 hours crying and don’t even want to go in tomorrow. My friend says I should look into workers comp. Is this work looking into?
After putting out over 200 applications this school year alone and deciding to quit my job at the end of the year due to work place toxicity, I got a job offer from my second callback. While I am SUPER BLESSED to receive this offer, I will be taking a $15,000 salary hit and this is making me feel so insecure and defeated.
Does anyone have a link to teacher contracts/salary scale for PA? Specifically Lancaster, but I'd like to see any from PA. I am considering a move and want to see what teaching there would be like.
Thanks in advance!
In teachers in Utah here? I'm considering moving, but your salary schedule is different from mine. Do you feel like you're paid a fair wage for the cost of living? Do you have to pay for benefits? Are you responsible for recess duties?
I really thought this was the year for big raise, but my district is giving us $2k as a retention bonus, and if you teach a core class and meet certain requirements, up to $5k, depending on years taught. I don't qualify.
What's your district doing?
I’m curious, do other schools ‘comp’ you if your prep time is taken up by ieps or behavior documentation? I’ve had to do so much or both this year I feel like I never actually get to prep!
Anyone know where the teachers get paid the most ? I’m in Miami, FL and the amount we get paid vs. the cost of living is the worst in the country. Would like to see different options and see where would be a good place to move possibly based on Salary and cost of living
(Salary is approximately $48k down here)
Anyone here used PDI WebTeaching online courses for salary advancement? I highly recommend them. Courses can be take for credit through University of San Diego or for non-credit. They are pretty easy courses and actually have been much more useful to me as a teacher than most of what my district-wide PD gives me. They're the least expensive option I've found, too. Twice a year (March and I think October) they do a semi-annual sale and a three-hour semester course is less than $300.
This past week MLB settled their work stoppage. I’m a former Union President and pro union but in comparison we are so undervalued. The minimum salary in baseball is now $700000.00 per year. We work more dates and longer hours. I know it’s not a fair comparison and I understand society will never escalate our value but we do so much to shape the future and we’re lucky to get an apple 🍎 in appreciation. With the prices out of control we all need some type of COLA to make ends meet.
Hi everyone! Looking for feedback / suggestions. (6th Grade) I want to do a class read aloud & have students discuss different components & comp skills (types of conflicts, analyzing characters, etc…) but I feel like the high ones will be the only ones who talk, or the students will get off task & talk about other things. Any ideas on how I can gauge understanding w/o them just writing the answers down? I’m looking for a balance of open discussion & accountability.
I'm curious and have a question for those who work in private schools. Are you expected to negotiate your salary on a job offer for private schools? I'm wondering because I went through the search process last year (now a fifth year teacher, but was looking to change schools), and I got a couple of job offers that I felt were unreasonably low.
Looking for advice on salary- I am currently a technology specialist making $40k, next year I got a raise to $43k. But now I will be adding on assistant director of theatre position. Wondering how much I could reasonably ask for?
Does anybody know of any remote teaching job or a similar that requires only a bachelors degree in almost anything and that pays salary with benefits besides FLVS (Florida Virtual school) Even if it has to do with customer service or teaching adults, anything along those lines. Thank you all in advance!
Salary negotiation question, educator family! I am in conversation with a virtual alternative education charter school. They sent me an offer letter and the salary is almost $4000 less than what I put and discussed as my minimum. What is your experience with negotiating salary with doing district? Has anyone tried?
I’ll be finished with my Master’s in May and am thinking about finding a new school closer to home. I am bilingual in spanish and teach science. Is it possible to negotiate my salary or is the pay scale the only measure?
Hi, I am currently being offered an afterschool Job as a group leader, no lesson plan from verbal control it seems as to only watch the kids for 3 hours , salary is 18/h what are you thoughts,

I'm a mid-level corporate associate considering an offer from a V10 firm. I did not use a recruiter. Would asking for a 12.5% signing bonus be unreasonable considering the current climate?
What’s average comp for a senior accountant at an investment management firm in NYC (with 5 years of experience)?
Tax Associate level in PA with 2 years and 2 months experience. Looking for industry jobs in Seattle. How much should I ask as the expected salary when applying for jobs? Does 90K sound fair in that area?
Anybody interested in getting a reference for PwC NYC office, please DM me!

In your experience, how accurate has the Robert Half Salary Guide been? Small law in LCOL area. Fourth year associate trying to figure out appropriate salary range. I’ve heard the 1/3 of your billable time value as well? Any guidance appreciated.
I'm going into my final round for Lippincott as a creative consultant in NYC (senior in college, graduating May 2022). What is the typical salary I should negotiate for/to be expected?
Would you leave Big4 as a manager to go to Mckinsey as an expert and increase total comp by 25%?
Hello! What is the salary range I could expect for a senior consultant role within human capital?
Interview question prep!
Have interview with pwc for a similar role what I am working right now, a little senior level but great compensation compared to my current.
Why do you want to come to pwc when you are already in consulting at another Big4 firm?
I know many folks here would have gone through such prep while switching, just wanted to gather thoughts to answer this and crack the interview.
Hello amazing PMs 👋
Amazon Senior PM role (L6) - What should I tell the recruiter as the expected total compensation? Also appreciate any tips / materials/ books for clearing the interviews
Starting out to be an Investment Advisor with just couple of accounts under management. Is there any good book about being a better advisor providing better investment performance?
Monday's aren't easy. The end of a fun weekend and the start of a dreaded work week, right? What if I told you that this doesn't have to be the case. I am excited this morning, as I am every morning, because I love what I do and work for such an awesome company, TidalHealth!
If you are looking to start a brand new journey or advance your career then I encourage all of you to take a look at our many fantastic job openings here www.tidalhealthcareers.org/ - Clinical and Non-Clinical roles!
Received a verbal offer from a recruiter congratulating me on clearing the final round. However did not receive a written offer or what the TC package would look like. They have started the right to work checks and the investments / pension plan declaration. Is this normal? Should I send across any documents or wait for the written offer to come through (not even sure if the terms offered would be favourable!!)?
Anyone faced a similar situation / have any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!
Is the CVA exam worth pursuing?
