NEVER work or think about working for Akon Mahoney of Averill Readen and Mahoney. The original founding partners are awesome, but they are in the Louisiana office. They picked up this guy I believe in hopes of him running their satellite office in Pensacola, and managing hurricane cases. They hired me I thought it was perfect. offer me 59,000 and then my immediate supervisor. John Mahoney started calling me all hours of the night and day. One moment he would say God told him that maybe he should

Hi, just a couple of questions. I'm content in my current role, but know others who are trying (unsuccessfully) to find other opportunities. Have you noticed whether it’s been harder to find new jobs lately? Do you think it’s because of the economy, just a temporary blip, or maybe something like lawyers not wanting to pay what we’re worth? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Tomorrow's going to be... interesting. Who else is dreading awkward conversations? Mine will probably go something like this: Dad: "I just don't understand how anyone could support the "ABC" party!" Me, excusing myself: "Well, I think I'll go help Mom in the kitchen. She could use an extra pair of hands." Dad: "But you should really hear my point!" Me, to myself: "I think I'll just stick to the mashed potatoes." 😅

I spend over an hour stuck in traffic 5 days a week and it's starting to take a toll on my mental health. Since most of our work is done online, I don't understand why more firms aren't still offering remote positions. I checked fully remote paralegal jobs on LinkedIn yesterday and was surprised at how few there were compared to last year. I feel so stuck. What would you do?
