I see a lot of people who have crippling anxiety here work out to feel better. My crippling anxiety kind of paralysis my legs (or at least feels like it to the point that I can’t even walk). Does anyone have similar symptoms and solution for it?

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. Constantly thinking I’m trash, in a bad person, etc. Feeling guilty for things idek if I should feel guilty about. This is a privileged problem and I know it’s minuscule to compared to the actual struggles of so many people in the US and abroad. Just completed my last shift in the ICU. I'm glad to be shifting back to the Maternatity ward. It was exhausting, and emotionally draining working with such sick patients. I know the work we did made a big difference, but I'm glad to go back to my favorite role!

Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. (1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Paralegals: My firm is looking for a paralegal, and I see the job posting advertising the salary as $65-$75k, with benefits. Is this a good salary for a paralegal (Greater LA area)? I’m not the decision maker, but it’s been a few weeks with very few applicants. I’m curious if there’s something hurting the firm in its search.

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. (Since he might have to present as evidence) When I give him deadlines and ask for the docs he says he’ll get to it. It’s a small 1 man firm, and I’m the first assistant besides his wife. Any advice?
