Retake. You will get much better scholarship offers if you can get your scores up. Even consider waiting a year. Yes, really.
This may largely depend on your gut instinct and also the schools you want to be accepted. It’s been quite a while for me so I don’t know how schools are now with acceptances. If the school you are going for doesn’t largely weigh the score and GPA, I’d say apply now and see what happens. If you’re trying for top tier level schools or firms that will largely weigh in on your school choice and things of that nature then I’d say test again. Just make sure you focus on practicing the areas that you need to improve so you get your desired score.
Side note. Are you not able to apply now and still take the LSAT again in January? I thought they accept the higher score once received. Again. Been a while. Don’t judge me 😂
Best of luck though!! You absolutely got this!
You’re so welcome! When I initially was applying (10+ yrs ago), I was told I could send everything I had but I could still let the schools know I was planning to take the lsat again within the next month or so, so they’d be aware and would consider my highest score of the 2. Again, def double check because I don’t want to give incorrect info if it’s changed. But again, you absolutely got this. That test hates us all and doesn’t mean you won’t have the future you plan. Sending you all the positive vibes!
