How does your firm handle Christmas gifts from clients when they're sent to a specific person? I just received a nice gift basket with fruits and sweets from a client I helped earlier this year but it was addressed to just me. Would you share something like this with the office or keep it for yourself?

If it was addressed to you, you don’t have to share it with anyone.

like

That's a thoughtful gesture from the client! In my firm, we usually handle it on a case-by-case basis. If it's addressed to me personally, I’d probably enjoy a little bit of it myself, but I’d definitely offer it to the team to share. It’s a nice way to spread the holiday cheer!

like

Keep it. You earned.

like

Generally, if it's something big it's shared with the office. If it's small, you keep it for yourself.

like

It's 100% yours! If there was stuff I didn't care for, I'd take what I want and leave the rest in the kitchen/break room.

You don’t have to share since it was addressed to you, however, sharing it has two benefits; the first, people see how kind you are and second, word will get around that you did such a great job that a client felt the need to acknowledge it. Doesn’t hurt for the bosses to get wind of that.

Now I need to regain trust and eliminate unacceptable teacher behaviors. Open to any and all advice.

Do you think it is time to find another job when your PIC is a micro manager, never trained you when you got hired, expects you to know things no one ever told you about in the first place, texts and calls you in the morning with questions you don’t have an answer to (I work evening shift so I’m mostly sleep when he reaches out), assumes the worst about everything, plots against you anyway, lies all the time, they don’t even do their job, they leave their trash behind etc. gives me anxiety.

Am I supposed to use this 4M only to calculate spend, ROAS, etc., but can actually have unlimited allocated impressions? Thank you!

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

Paralegals: My firm is looking for a paralegal, and I see the job posting advertising the salary as $65-$75k, with benefits. Is this a good salary for a paralegal (Greater LA area)? I’m not the decision maker, but it’s been a few weeks with very few applicants. I’m curious if there’s something hurting the firm in its search.

What is the average paralegal salary in NC for a commercial real estate law office? I’ve been with a great firm for the last 9 years but am starting to wonder if I’m being compensated fairly. The company is about 30 employees (mostly attorneys) but I work primary for 4 of the attorneys.
