Learned an interesting lesson today: don’t mention wanting to go into government at some point in the future in a biglaw job interview. Had a callback where I mentioned a desire to be an AUSA. They passed on my candidacy apparently because of it.

Should people who do not have children be able take a "paternity" leave? Paternity leaves are generally supportive, but sabaticals or whatever you want to call it are frowned upon, from my experience. Thoughts fellow 🐡?

What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.
