Broke out the mercury head for Thanksgiving - did not disappoint. Happy holidays to everyone!
Decided to open a big one with some friends tonight
I'm currently building an app that will teach users about wine, connect them to brands, and build communities.
Would anyone be interested in joining our beta app trial?
Will wineries ever pay their wine hosts and Sommeliers a living wage? Will they stop assuming that clients are tipping enough to compensate for the lack of wages? How can you expect a wine host to hav…
Just installed a 250 bottle storage unit. Looking for strategies to build our collection. Any tips to buying in bulk?
Looking for pinot noir recommendations for a thank you gift. Last year we gifted Kosta Browne and it was a hit - looking for something similar from other wineries. Budget up to $150. Thank you!

I am pretty interested in wine. I watch a number of videos, try and practice tasting with vivino and have even made my own at home. I don’t necessarily want to work in the field at least right …
This blew my mind. I wish I had more
Any winemakers in this group? Looking to develop some custom blends and I don’t know where to start.
Finally tried the Trimbach regular Gewurz. Slightly disappointing and can’t hold a candle to the regular Zind-Humbrecht (it’s the bomb outside GC or cuvée) and not even close to their Cuvée Des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre. Having said that, appreciate the classic dry Alsatian style of rose petals and lychee without the residual sugar. Couldn’t find a tech spec but I would guess 3-5/g per liter
An open bottle a week in the fridge usually comes out astringent but this Dolcetto actually tasted more balanced after being overly acidic and a bit tight. Nice blueberry notes and more balance over time
So 🥲 I like my red a little chilled. I usually put the bottle in the freezer for a couple of minutes. But last night I was talking on the phone for hours and totally forgot abt it. Today I came home …
Cheap and cheerful. $8 on sale at a meat market. Who says good wine has to be expensive?
Enjoyable wine from the Valtellina region of Lombardy. Made from the Chiavennasca grape (known in Piedmont as Nebbiolo) this Superiore wine was aged for six years in oak prior to bottling. Strong notes of sweet cherries with secondary notes of roses, dark chocolate, and coffee.
Lovely and powerful
How did you all learn more about wine? I’m in my early 20’s and have experimented a bunch with whites but honestly just don’t know much about red. Don’t understand much about anything red related and …
