I recently joined a small company as a tech lead in Pune.
I am not enjoying the work here. I have good experience in Linux application development in C.
Also as a hobby project completed small projects on opencv/image processing on python.
I have a good hold in system design using python and C.
Looking for suggestions should I starting looking for another opportunity or should I wait for atleast completing 1 year to justify my change.

Recently joined an industry firm but picked up low hour/commitment m consulting for a small company (freelancing). The two companies are in entirely different spaces, no conflict of interest. Should I be concerned about disclosing the freelancing work to my full time firm?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
