I have a desk job where I’ll legit sit for 9hrs each day. I used to have hobbies on the computer, like video editing, writing code for side projects, sketching out app ideas. Lately I can’t stand to be at my desk anymore after work. Been watching too much tv instead. More so seems like it’s due to being in the same location for so many hrs each day. Interested in hearing thoughts about separating work desk from personal desk, and other hobbies you picked up to get away from the screen

I rearrange my home office several times a year. Idk why but every 4 months I need to change it up. Anyone else do this?

Home Office overhaul.
I’m looking to redecorate/reorganize my working space. It’s a small room (7x9ft).
Looking for ideas (pinterest boards, references)
With 2 important things I need a sofa bed because parents visit from different countries. It’s also my music practice room and there’s a big amp and my TT in the way of things.

I am based out of one office but my office put me to work for another office when I joined Of course I got to know the people there and bonded with them. They helped and trained me. My current team in my home office now always rolls their eyes or gets annoyed when I speak of positive experiences in the other office. I don’t speak badly of my office but I’m not going to speak badly of the other office that made me feel welcomed… I kind of feel left out and chewed on both ends. How do I navigate?

I’m worry that I still have like 45 years more to be retired and can’t stop working because I have a f* mortgage to pay 😭 I have a super ergonomic workstation, but I know my hand needs a long rest, and I can’t do it… Does anyone relate? Looking for a home office chair…I need something really ergonomic/comfortable but given the visibility of the office in the house the wife wants something stylish. She keeps calling all my ideas ‘gamer chairs’ even though they’re definitely not. Anyone have any chairs they really like that may be worth looking at? I feel like I’ve looked everywhere (Steelcase, Herman Miller, humanscale, Haworth, xchair, etc).

Whose office here does not have a standing desk? Why hasn’t everyone in big law upgraded to this by now…? if I’m expected to come to the office, at least upgrade the furniture.
