Anyone here ever sued their employer through the EEOC? If so, did you win? How was your process?

I had one in office visit with the rep from the EEOC. When I went there I didn’t know what to expect but I knew what I was doing was right. The rep was nice and accommodating plus I think because I had all the evidence I had collected made her job easier. Everything was done by email after my in office visit. They will email me what the company said and I will reply back with my collected evidence. The whole process took a couple months. My daughter was born in Sept. I think I got the check in Oct. they let me go in July. Funny thing was I asked the company to allow me to work until my due date which they refused. So opting out to pay me for 2 more months VS ending up paying a whole years salary and then some. Idiots.

I consulted with attorneys and they all agreed I had a case. But they also outlined the process and what my former employer would probably try to argue. And they listed the pros and cons of moving forward. I ultimately decided not to pursue it and move on, but part of me regrets doing so. Good luck.

I strongly recommend you consult with an employment/labor attorney.

Filing a complaint with EEOC is not “suing” an employer; it’s a formal complaint that will be investigated and may result in some sort of settlement but is by no means a lawsuit.

90k hybrid 2-3 days in the office. (20min drive now however I am moving an 1.5 hours away)

They both have their benefits and company match.

The 90k is also a new team so a lot of growth opportunity while the 72k is well established team. If this matters at all.
